Job Qualifications;Performs routine maintenance on kitchen equipment and all HVACR and heating equipment. Maintains and repairs all types of kitchen equipment. Troubleshoots and repairs packaged a/c equipment, split a/c equipment, chillers, pumps, motors, boilers, furnaces and ancillary equipment. Monitors the University’s building automation system to identify and respond to problems. Repairs and installs refrigeration piping, steam piping, condensate piping and water piping. Installs refrigeration equipment and air conditioning equipment up to 25 tons. Works on electrical systems up to 480 volt a.c.

Mandatory Requirements: High School diploma
Local 68 Apprenticeship Graduate or attendee
Minimum of 5 years of certifiable commercial or industrial air conditioning/refrigeration experience
New Jersey 1C Blue seal license
NJ HVACR Contractor license
Universal CFC certificate
Proficient in pipe threading, soldering and brazing
Basic understanding of building automation systems
Valid NJ driver’s license
Desired Requirements: New Jersey 2C Blue Seal license
NJ Qualified Journeymen Electrical license
