Position:                                              Energy Engineer

Rate:                                                     $45.27 per hour

Work Week:                                      Monday Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Position Summary:                          Administers the energy management program and operates the automated energy management system. Operates the existing CSI/Schneider, Siemens, and ALC energy management software on a PC. Programs, installs, inspects, troubleshoots, and maintains the energy management system (EMS/BMS) and networks (LAN).

Maintains and repairs all types of mechanical equipment on campus, including but not limited to boilers, heat exchangers, air conditioners, chillers, ice machines, cooling towers, kitchen equipment, domestic water heaters, air handlers, distribution boxes, etc.  The supervisor of this position is the lead person of the HVAC Shop.  See job description for all of the details.

Position Requirements:                 High School diploma

Local 68 Apprenticeship Graduate or attendee

Minimum of 3 years of certifiable commercial or industrial air conditioning/refrigeration/controls experience

Proficient in pipe threading, soldering and brazing

                                                                Valid NJ Driver’s License

Licenses and Certificates:
(desired)                                             New Jersey 1C Blue seal license

NJ HVACR Contractor license

Universal CFC certificate

NJ Class A Journeymen Electrician registration
