Position Summary:      

Maintains, repairs, and installs all permanent building structures on campus.  This includes but is not limited to counters, doors, windows, floors, walls, ceilings, cabinets, projector screens, shades, and wood trim.  Replaces ceiling tiles and installs suspended ceilings.  The supervisor of the position is the Chief Engineer.  Safely uses power equipment, hand tools, hydraulic lifts, and vehicles in the performance of duties.  See the job description for a complete summary of the position.

Position Requirements:            High School diploma

                                                Local 68 Apprenticeship Graduate or attendee

                                                Valid driver’s license

Knowledge of carpentry principles and their application to maintenance and repairs.  Has a minimum of three years’ experience with carpentry functions, similar to the duties of journeyperson carpenter.
